My Mop Solution : The Oreck Steam-It All Purpose Steamwand

This product does as advertised and is built using good quality plastics. Makes steam in about 30-40 seconds. If you are going to use it around a sink, bathroom tile above a tub, or windows I would recommend that you only fill the water tank about 1/2 full. Some reviews made reference to microfiber towels that could be attached. The early posts indicated that they shrunk so bad after washing that they wouldn't stay on. NOT to worry, Oreck has quit shipping the units with these towels and I believe you can purchase larger, cheaper ones at Wal-Mart or Target. Oreck also says that you can simply use a bathroom hand towel as they will work fine too. I like the mop, but understand it is designed to sanitize while cleaning a basically clean surface to begin with. If you have gunk on something, you still need to use elbow grease! Some surfaces like tile floors or plastic square tiles should be easier to sanitize and keep clean verses a hardwood plank floor but I haven't tried the latter yet and my homes were built in the early 20's, late 40's and late 50's.
